EasyCount — Privacy Policy

EasyCount is a Shopify app developed by EasyByte Hub S.Coop.Mad. (Madrid, Spain). It lets you count stock by scanning SKUs or barcodes and apply the result to your Shopify inventory. This policy explains what data the app processes and how.

Data we process

EasyCount does not collect or store personal data about your customers (buyers). It never reads orders or customer records. To provide its functionality the app processes only:

• Store identifier (your myshopify.com domain) and the OAuth access token needed to talk to the Shopify Admin API, plus your store’s currency and subscription plan.
• Counts you create: a name, the location you chose, and one line per product counted. Each line keeps a snapshot of the product (title, variant, SKU, barcode), the quantity Shopify reported when the line was opened, and the quantity you counted. This is store configuration and business data, and the snapshot is what keeps an applied count readable later.
• Product catalog and inventory data via the read_products, read_inventory and read_locations scopes, used to match what you scan and to show you what Shopify currently believes. Inventory is only written (write_inventory) at the moment you explicitly apply a count.
• Feedback you send us, if you use the feedback box: your message and, only if you choose to fill it in, an email address so we can reply.

The app makes no external calls with your data: it talks to the Shopify Admin API and to nothing else. We do not send email on your behalf.

Data retention and deletion

EasyCount implements Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks. On shop/redact (sent 48 hours after uninstall) the app deletes all data associated with your store: counts and their lines, feedback, the shop record and its sessions. As no customer personal data is stored, customers/data_request and customers/redact have nothing to return or erase.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Data is transmitted over TLS and stored on our infrastructure solely to operate the app.
